SIIA, the only association bringing together all business segments in the software & information industry, provides its members the tools they need to understand and navigate the industry's changing landscape.

Programs

The Software & Information Industry Association's Intellectual Property Protection Division conducts a comprehensive, industry-wide campaign to fight software and content piracy. The pro-active campaign is premised on the notion that one must balance enforcement with education in order to be effective.

SIIA's Public Policy program aggressively promotes and protects the interests of its member companies in legal and public policy debates by working with state, federal and international policymakers, organizing grassroots activism and participating in landmark legal decisions. SIIA is the leading voice on key issues affecting the software and information industry, particularly with regards to electronic commerce and the digital marketplace.

The annual Codie Awards were established in 1986 so that the pioneers of the up-and-coming software industry could evaluate and honor each other's work. Since its inauguration, the Codie Awards program has carried forward the same vision - to showcase the software and information industry's finest products and services and to honor excellence for corporate achievement and philanthropic efforts.

The Software Division provides a neutral business forum for companies that develop the applications, services, infrastructure and tools that drive the software and services industry. The Division's programs support member business development through networking, partnerships, industry exposure and strategic insight on the issues and trends of the industry.

The Content Division provides a forum for companies that are in the business of publishing and distributing online content, or offer technologies and services that facilitate the distribution of information products.

SIIA’s Education Division participates, shapes and supports the education industry by providing leadership, advocacy and critical marketing information to promote the success of education technology and content providers.

The Financial Information Services Division (FISD) provides a neutral business forum for exchanges, market data vendors, specialist data providers, brokerage firms and banks to address and resolve business and technical issues related to the distribution, management, administration and use of market data.

The Public Sector Innovation Group (PSIG) is the leading voice for government technology innovation and a well-respected thought leader in the public sector IT space. The division is comprised of innovative software and IT services firms seeking to take advantage of the evolving Federal investment in Cloud-related technologies.

The Specialized Information Publishers Association--SIPA Division--is dedicated to advancing the interests of commercial information providers serving the needs of niche communities. The mission of SIPA is to serve its members through education, training, networking and advocacy to foster growth, profitability and professional excellence.

Resources

SIIA hosts a wide variety of Events thoughout the year.
