Do you have a data strategy for KYC and client lifecycle management?

Reference data is part data and part strategy: where do you put the data, how is it maintained and accessed and how do you avoid different business units duplicating efforts, and spend:

  • You’ve procured your LEI, UTI and UPI data; where are you putting it?
  • Who is helping you to define the rules about its use?
  • Are you using the same repository across all your business units?

Struan Lloyd, Head of Business Development, Asia, Fenergo

Dominic Mac, Global Head of Business Development, Clients & Consulting, Thomson Reuters

The market data meteor has struck. Terminals are on the decline, feeds are on the rise.

There are less physical resources consuming market data on a day-to-day basis. Feeds to deliver market data to computers running algos and robo-advisors are definitely the way forward. Do feeds need to transform from their current state to use more innovative APIs or technologies, like torrents and block chains which are more effective with aggregation and "finger printing" resdistributed data.

  • How can your business benefit by this transformation?
  • Have information policies embraced this change?
  • Is it time to re-visit multi-vendor data aggregation/distribution platforms - that use new technologies?

Mike Davie , Founder, CEO, DatastreamX

David Davies, Founder, AgriLedger
