VP 'Sustainable Investing', Blackrock Debarshi Basu, Vice President, is a researcher in the BlackRock's sustainable investing team where he leads the quantitative research efforts for the team. Debarshi is interested in studying how ESG issues affect security prices. Debarshi's tenure at BlackRock dates to 2014, as an intern in the EM Multi-Asset Allocation team. He spent 3 year in the Model Portfolio solutions team managing tactical equity model portfolios. Prior to joining BlackRock, Debarshi worked as a modeling specialist in Texas Instruments, developing models for charge transport in semiconductor devices. Debarshi has a Ph.D. (2007) and M.S. (2004) from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.Tech. (2002) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. (all in Electrical Engineering) and a Masters in Financial Engineering (2015) from the University of California, Berkeley. He has co-authored a book chapter for Springer, 2 patents and 18 publications in peer-reviewed journals. |

Managing Director, FISD Tom Davin is Managing Director, Financial Information Services Association (FISD) of the SIIA. FISD is the global, neutral forum for the financial information industry with a diverse membership that includes major market data vendors, exchanges, technology providers, and the financial institutions that utilize financial data products. Tom works closely with FISD members to identify major issues and seek opportunities to bring the financial information industry together to discuss and resolve those issues. VP and COO - CGS, S&P Global Roger is responsible for the global growth of the CGS business units, including: global data operations, which encompasses credit derivatives, syndicated loans and private placements; product support and development; the ANNA Service Bureau product lines, and our enterprise feeds and terminal products. Roger is focused on the significant expansion of CGS’s offerings and presence in the Americas, EMEA and APAC. From 2010-2015, Roger was accountable for commercializing the delivery of S&P’s Credit Ratings solutions and Cross Reference Services. Roger joined Standard & Poor's in 1998 as a Municipal Research Analyst in Standard & Poor’s Securities Evaluations Group. He holds a B.B.A. in International Business from Iona College. Roger is co-chair of the International Securities Association for Institutional Trade Communication’s (ISITC) Regulatory Forum, whose mission is to increase understanding of new regulations across the securities industry and partner with regulators and industry standards organizations to define best practices. Roger is a regular speaker at industry conferences and forums. |

Director, Capital Markets Development & Chair, FISD Exec Committee, BT Yousaf is currently Head of Business Development at BT Financial Technology Services; responsibilities include establishing and maintaining relationships with key trading venues (including Exchanges, MTFs, ECNs, PTSs and dark pools) across asset classes globally. As a result Yousaf has developed strong relationships with a number of CxOs globally and has developed an excellent understanding of their services (trading and market data). Additionally, Yousaf has established strong relationships with both the buy-side and sell-side community. Yousaf has spoken at a number of conferences on subjects ranging from low latency, emerging markets and the search for liquidity, liquidity fragmentation and blockchains applications and trends in capital markets and has written articles and been quoted in various trade publications. He supports the BT Radianz sales team on major opportunities globally and has designed and implemented a number of programs to educate the sales teams on trends and requirements in the financial services community; including topics such as dark pools, FX, FI, emerging markets trends in the market space and different trading strategies. Head of Product Management, Market Data Services, HSBC Securities Services Chris joined HSBC Securities Services in August 2006 and is the Head of Product Management, Market Data Services. Chris was previously at Threadneedle Investments where he was Head of Investment Information Services. Before then he was a Director at UBS managing the business content aspects of their data management programme. Chris started work in the city with Laurie, Milbank stockbrokers, in their futures and options operations team, continuing with Chase Manhattan for a further ten years, culminating in three years as head of the equity derivatives middle office. Head of Stewardship - Americas, BNP Paribas Asset Management Adam Kanzer is Head of Stewardship - Americas, at BNP Paribas Asset Management (BNPP AM). He leads our firm’s stewardship activities in the region, including direct corporate engagement and proxy voting, working with policymakers on key issues relating to sustainable finance and investment, and representing BNPP AM in key investor ESG networks. Adam joined us in 2018 and is based in New York. Prior to joining us, Adam was Managing Director of Corporate Engagement at Domini Impact Investments. During his 20 years at Domini he built a corporate engagement programme focused on improving the ESG performance of major US corporations, as well as developing Domini’s public policy advocacy programme and proxy voting policies. He has a wealth of experience in a broad range of ESG issues, including climate change, deforestation, labour standards, human rights and supply chain management. He has been an active member of a wide variety of ESG networks and organisations, and has been instrumental in helping companies to evolve their corporate practices in key areas. Adam served on the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Investor Advisory Committee, and is a founder of the Global Network Initiative, a multi-stakeholder organization addressing threats to freedom of expression and privacy rights in the ICT sector. He currently serves on the Human Rights Advisory Committee of the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility, and the steering committee of the Investor Alliance for Human Rights. He was a member of the Eminent Persons Group that oversaw development of the UN Guiding Principles Reporting Framework. In 2008, he was named to the Directorship 100, Directorship magazine’s listing of the most influential people on corporate governance and in the boardroom. He is a frequent speaker and commentator on sustainable investing and corporate accountability. Since joining Refinitiv (then Thomson Reuters) in 2016, Matt has split his time between the ESG and banking businesses. Prior to Refinitiv, Matt consulted in Healthcare for Huron Consulting Group. ESG Analyst, Pzena Investment Management Rachel Segal has been an Environmental Social and Governance (‘ESG’) Research Analyst at Pzena Investment Management (‘Pzena’) since March 2019. At Pzena, her role is to conduct proprietary ESG research, lead ESG-related engagement efforts and manage the firm’s relationships with third party organizations, including the Principles for Responsible Investment (to which Pzena is a signatory). Prior to joining Pzena, Rachel spent time as a sustainability consultant, both internally at BNY Mellon and in client service at PwC. During her two years at BNY Mellon, Rachel advised the bank’s various business lines on how to better incorporate ESG into their business practices and products. For example, she co-led an impact investing pilot strategy with the Investment Management division. During her four years at PwC, Rachel worked with clients across all industries to set corporate sustainability strategy and environmental finance targets, develop sustainability and risk-management policy best-practices and catalyse internal organization transformation. Rachel is originally from the UK and graduated with a B.A. in Geography from Emmanuel College at Cambridge University and an M.A. in International Relations and Economics from The Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). |
